There are currently two categories of membership
FULL MEMBER – will have full voting rights and receive issues of the society magazine for the period of membership. The individual will be entitled to priority reservations for all events and trips organized by the Society at a discounted rate. Full members will have the opportunity to attend social meetings at indicated venues, unrestricted access to the website/forum and to open a photograph album in the gallery section. They will also be allowed free entry to the annual photo competition.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER - Is an individual who must be a partner or immediate Family member of a full member, they will not have voting rights but will receive all other benefits applicable to a Full member except a monthly magazine
Category Fee: Full = £25. Associate = £7 each.
Please Note: Membership runs January to December. Any member joining the society mid year, membership will be charged at £2.25p per month up till the end of December.

You will receive a membership card & copy of the rules as soon as your application has been successfully processed. (Please Note: Due to voluntary work this could take up to 30 days.)
Protection of Personal Information
The Valley Aviation Society for the purposes of the administration of the society holds personal information on all members in all categories of membership. The information held relating to members is the information supplied by that member through the initial application form to join the society, and subsequently given for raffles, competitions, or promotions and by application to attend such events as Photocalls, base visit and society organised trips to air shows etc. This information may be held by the Society in a written and/or electronic format and will not be sold or divulged to an external source or third party, except where specifically needed such as for security clearance such as base visits. A member’s application to attend a base meeting or trip automatically signals that member’s acceptance for the Valley Aviation Society to divulge any information supplied by the member to the necessary authorities to gain entrance to that event. Note the magazine printing company will be given a posting list of members who have elected to receive the magazine; the list will contain delivery names and addresses only.
Some or all of the information given by a member will be used and held by the membership secretary, the editor, webmaster, trip and event organiser, or any bona fide committee member requiring that information in the course of conducting Valley Aviation Society business. The information will be limited to name, address, DoB, car/vehicle details, contact telephone numbers, and e mail address.
A member can at anytime request that some or all the personal information be removed from all Valley Aviation Society records but should be aware that this may curtail membership, prevent attendance to social evenings, trips, events and the receipt of the magazine.
