Hi All

A new callsign out of Brize: - "COMET!" This was first used on the latest Atlas ZM411 'COMET 82' while on LL tests. However, lately the c/s has been used on Hercules: COMET 140 and 160 have been recorded!

Cheers

John Edwards

COMET now confirmed as belonging to 206 Sqn (the Large Aircraft Trials Unit) which is based at Boscombe, though the current Atlas and Hercules trials are being flown from Brize. The Atlases are using 2-digit callsigns, while a 3 digit c/s indicates a Herc.
(Thanks to Fighter Control for this intel).
