Just before Christmas lunch Cath spotted Mrs Woody in the rain...taken through kitchen window

Image gone!
And on Boxing day through same window.. Mrs Kingfisher in very low light behind an old tree that has come down in the river after the last storms...

Image she was only there for a few mins and she was gone...
Image Should have gone to back bedroom to take these :banging_head_red
Hope she comes back.

Brilliant Jim, well done. Your usual excellence in what looks like testing conditions. I've NEVER seen a Kingfisher in flesh never mind getting a photo ! !

Hope you and Carol had a great Christmas, haven`t been out much with the camera, those were taken on a mad rush grab shots, hope to see you all soon,
Thanks Mike, Hope you and all the family had a nice Christmas, we haven`t seen the kingfisher for a while river has been high and had a fast flow to it, just walked into the kitchen to get a drink on boxing day afternoon and just saw a quick flash of blue, ran for my camera it kept quite low on the river bank, the light was poor it only stayed a few minutes could not get a clear shot of her, here are few more taken through the kitchen window on odd days in the last few weeks......
