(Welcome message from the V-A-S Chairman - January 2008)
Dear Members,
This is just a short message to thank you for your continued support of the
Committee by electing us all back to work for you for another twelve months,
at the AGM in January.
A warm welcome to all members, both old and new, I trust that you enjoy
being a part of the Society and I look forward to seeing you all at the
monthly meetings.
A big message of thanks goes to our Honorary President, Group Captain Neil McG Connell OBE BSc(HONS) RAF and all the Staff at Royal Air Force Valley
for their continued strong support of the Society.
I hope you all enjoy the monthly meetings and other activities which we work
hard to arrange on your behalf.
Best wishes

In August 1938, 19 Squadron were the first to be equipped with Spitfires at Duxford and to celebrate this historic occasion 19 Squadron have submitted a paint scheme, which has been approved after months of negotiations, not only for the funding for the paint scheme, but also for the approval to have a Hawk painted in complete camouflage colours.
On the 15th of April, XX184 was towed to the paint shop at RAF Valley as a black trainer and will emerge in approximately three weeks time as a fully camouflaged Hawk in the original colours of a Battle of Britain Spitfire.
You can follow the latest paint shop progress of XX184 by clicking on the thumbnail above.
